Comment:
I talked to you earlier today about your product.  It is so simple, you don't have to use your teeth to cut the line to change jig's.  I fish crappie USA and am a lifetime member. So I will be using our products for a long time.  Thanks again, as a satisfied angler. God bless you and your company.

Question: My husband and I have been fishing in Mountain Island Lake near Charlotte, NC and have been catching fish that look like crappies, but have a black spot on the gills. Are these crappies? We haven't fished in a while and don't remember the black spot on the crappies. We have caught very small fish up to what would be a good size for a crappie and wondered what they are.

Answer: from Ken Cook: Sounds like a Black Crappie. Both Black and White Crappies have a variable black spot on the opercula, (gill Flap).

Dear STABOR
®,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for sponsoring Crappie USA and the Tournament Trail!  I love Crappie Fishing and without sponsors line STABOR® a Crappie Fishing Trail would only be a dream.  Your sponsorship has made it a reality.  I just returned from the Crappie USA Classics in Granada, Mississippi, we were almost 400 fisherman strong with 200 boats.  It was quite a sight to see and a memory I will have forever!  One of the STABOR® representatives gave me a presentation at the Classics.  As much as I hate to admit it age is creeping up on me, not only am I getting gray but my eyesight is going.  Your presentation really opened my eyes, (no pun intended), I knew this product was something I needed.  I was afraid to try something new at the $100,000 Crappie Classic but since ! have been home STABOR® and I have been fishing on Truman Lake!  I no longer have to remember my glasses, STABOR® can take the credit for that!  I found your product easy to use and of course practice makes perfect.  I will proudly support your product as I travel the tournament trail, I am sure there are other fisherman having the same problem that I was having.  Again thanks for your sponsorship, without sponsors such as STABOR® the Crappie Trail couldn't exist.  By the way, does STABOR® have anything for the gray? Just kidding, Happy fishing!

Sincerely,

David Chiles

Comment: I had to let you know how impressed I am with new product. Last week, I was using the line lock for the first time and not only did it bring in a 7 lb. fluke, but I also boated a 12 lb. Bluefish!
These things are incredible! I was absolutely taken aback at their holding power. I also like the fact that that you can change rigs twice as fast. If there is one thing I've always disliked about fishing, it's changing rigs. I usually bring one setup for jigging or buck-tailing and another for bait and maybe a third setup with a different rig. Now I can just take one rod and change my rigging in a snap. I'm really impressed and I have gone to several tackle shops here (I'm quite well known) showing your product and suggesting they contact you about carrying STABOR® Line Locks.

Comment: The more I use your line locks, the more I like them. I got a fishing buddy that lives down in south in salt water country her in Louisiana. The wife and I are going to meet them the first weekend on Aug. to fish some reds and specks. Can't wait to show them to him and his wife!

Dear STABOR
® ,

First of all, I would like to say thank you for sponsoring the Crappie USA tournament trail. Everything that you do for Crappie USA is gratifying to all of us tournament anglers, and we are all in debt to you for backing us 100%.

My partner and I have now been fishing Crappie USA tournaments for the past 3 years. We are loyal to all of our National Sponsors, and we try to promote your products as much as possible. We have qualified for the Region 3 Regional tournament the past 2 years. We missed a Crappie USA Classic berth at Patoka Lake by 0.10 lbs (yes – we lost the tournament by 0.10 lbs!!!!!). We were absolutely dying to go to the Classic, but we’re now 0-3.

Now that we’ve got a “taste of how close that we came”, we’ve decided to fish the points division to earn a birth to the classic next year. My question to you, as a national sponsor, is: “How do we go about obtaining sponsorship directly from your company?” We would love to promote your products openly at our pre-tournament seminars, and any other way that we can help (whether it be wearing your patches on our jackets, stickers on the windows of our truck or on our boat, etc.).

We’re wanting to become big-time tournament anglers, and we’re looking to promote your products (which we LOVE to use - by the way).  We are in great debt to you.

Sincerely,

Craig Money (addicted to crappie fishing)

STABOR® question

How long do they last? Will they rust? What are they made of? Are they good
for fish in the 20-50lb range like Blues and Stripers. Do they troll good?

Mike

Comment: Since I started using the STABOR
®, I can catch a lot more fish. The lightening Strike looks like a bug, and STABOR® gives it just the right action to move like a bug. It's an unbeatable combination.

I recently heard Chatt Martin talk in a seminar and because of that I ordered some line locks, they look like they should work pretty well.  I'm wondering if you have any info on Chatt, or he has a web page or anything similar that I could access.

Thanks,
Brian

I was at a boat show in Republican City, Nebraska and they had a crappie seminar at the show. The pro at the show  told the crowd about the STABOR
®, and I thought it looked like the thing that would really work. I wasn't sure about how to order the right amount so am glad that you added one of each size.

Thanks,
Earl Hansen

Just heard about this product.  Looks great want to try some.

Comment: Thanks for your prompt attention.  I'm bragging, I became a grandfather for the first time on Feb. 9.  Another fisherman to use the line locks.

Comment: I found this winter when the weather was really cold it was easier to use the STABOR
® than to try to tie jigs on the regular way also it was easy to add a second jig.  And it holds just as well with fire-line as a conventional knot.  I would recommend trying STABOR®. Mike Hawkins Nitro Pro-Staff, Tournament Director Crappie Busters Tournament Trail
