The lure is presented horizontally and is less stressful on the minnow which stays alive longer because it don't have to move the entire line its attached to.  

Use the STABOR® on any item with a closed loop.  

 Line strength for each size when using mono-filament is:

• 1/2" size from 1-8lb test

• 3/4" size from 8-16lb test

• 1"    size from 14-30lb test

• 1-1/2" size from 30-50lb test

• The 1/2" and 3/4" size is ideal when using crappie or Bass Jigs and on all STABOR® Line Locks you get 99.1 ratio hook-set in the upper lip of the catch.
   
• No need for reading glasses.
   
• Go after the big game fish using the 1 or 1-1/2 inch line lock for catfish, sturgeon, and saltwater species and trotline!
   
• With the new expensive high technology lures, the knot has to go by the wayside, because its the weakest link and STABOR® Line Lock eliminate the knot.
   

When using the supper-lines you may want to go down a size due to smaller diameter.
