North American Crappie Association comments,
on using the STABOR® Line Locking System

Every so often a product is conceived, researched and manufactured that is capable of revolutionizing your ability to catch fish.  A few items coming to mind are depth finders, trolling motors, super lines and STABOR® Sporting Good's - Line Lock System.  That's correct, I believe the STABOR® Line Lock product has this ability due to its unique displaced tension design that eliminates the need to tie lures to your line with knots.

The product does a fantastic job of removing the weakest link between you and the fish so your not telling stories about the one that got away.  Everyone has or will experience hooking into a big fish only to have a break off occur just as it reaches the surface.  The result is you're left with a quick peek at a monster Crappie, a broken line and a story about the one that got away with your lucky lure.

Line Locks have many other advantages to consider in addition to their increased line to lure strength.  Tying knots can become more difficult as eyesight starts to leave us and can be near impossible when finishing in low light conditions or with cold hands.  Tournament anglers know time is valuable so having the opportunity to save several minutes during the day retying can mean the difference between picking up a check and an "almost".  The STABOR® product can help.

Once the Line Lock is in place on your line you'll immediately notice how free the jig movement becomes without the restriction of a knot.  Lure freedom will typically increase by 20-30% over a knot and line twist will be reduced.  Adding a second lure or changing jig sizes has never been quicker or easier because Line Locks can be tied and untied fast, plus you're not sacrificing line strength like average knots.  These are all terrific advantages whether vertical jigging or trolling for those big slab Crappie.

If you're looking to increase your catch size and rate, then Line Locks may just be the ticket to landing that record Crappie.

I wish to thank all of you for your help and look forward to the 2003 tournament trail, the Classic was big success and the fishermen make comment that it was the best tournament they have every fished. This made us feel very good that the fishermen loved what we did. Many awards where made and three new division champions where crowned.

Letter From David D. of Lowry City, MO
Dear STABOR
®,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for sponsoring Crappie USA and the Tournament Trail!  I Love crappie fishing and with out sponsors like STABOR® a crappie fishing trail would only be a dream.  Your sponsorship has made it a reality.  I just returned from the Crappie USA Classics in Granada, Mississippi, we were almost 400 fisherman strong with 200 boats.  One of STABOR®'s representatives gave me a presentation at the classics.  As much as I hate to admit it, age is creeping up on me, not only am I getting gray but my eyesight id going.  Your presentation really opened my eyes, (no pun intended), I knew this product was something I needed.  I was afraid to try something new at the $100,000 Crappie USA Classic, but since I have been home STABOR® and I have been fishing on Truman Lake!  I no longer have to remember my glasses, STABOR® can take the credit for that!  I found your product easy to use and of course practice makes perfect.  I will proudly support your product a I travel the tournament trail, I am sure there are other fisherman having the same problem that I was having.  Again thank you for your sponsorship, with out sponsors such as STABOR® the Crappie Trail couldn't exist.  By the way, does STABOR® have anything for gray? Just kidding, happy fishing!

Sincerely,

David C.
