Last Years 2001 Classic Results

Last Years Results: Anglers preparing for 6:00 am departure.  Water clearing, some muddy spots near the creeks with drifting debris and submerged logs, lake level high, morning temperature 58 deg. with a forecast to rise in the 90's, lake turning over and fish on the rise an average of two feet per day since the heavy down pour and local flooding a week ago.   

In the photo's below, applicants are filling out entry form  and getting their departure number.  Mike Hawkins and Pro Staff assist the anglers putting the boats in the water. They wait for their number to be called and acknowledge with a wave of the hand and taxi up to the No-Wake Buoy and depart towards their first destination.  

This artificial Lure only tournament was to prove to be a challenging one, which attracted the Top 50 Crappie Anglers in the State of Kansas and Missouri and other surrounding States. The artificial lures used, were provided by Crappie Pro of Oklahoma City and Zeiner's Bass Shop of Wichita. Both Companies have provided awards, which will pay additional bonuses down to ten places on the chart.

                            

After a few hours, Mike Hawkins and I went looking for the anglers to visit them and thank each participant for supporting STABOR®'s first tournament. We ferried over to Chatt Martin and Marvin Grimes (STABOR® Pro Staff) fishing over a brush pile.  The other photo's show anglers hard at it and asking how the others are doing, looking for the edge. We said the others are catching a few good sizes. We will be adding more photo's each month, so be sure to come back and download your photo.
